Due to Flooding we have postpone the sale to Friday 2nd of October. Sorry to those that travelled and made it to the sale only to find a large amount of water around the sale rostrum. Cris Taylor is moving on. He has spent 2 years here Motere as a Junior Shepherd under Isaac. He moves on to a Shepherd role with Graham and Sue Maxwell in Tutira. We wish him all the best for the future.
Mustang C15 was sold and transfered to Tangihau Angus. This was the highlight of our first on farm yearling sale back in September 2013. He has gone to a very good home and we look forward to watching his progress. Tangihau also purchased 2 more yearlings for station use over yearlings heifers.

Congratulations to the Weber Dog Trail Club on one hundred years of dog trailing. Bo Milner and his team need to be appluded for there hard work and hospitality.

NEW AI SIRE EXAR UPSHOT

Upshot was used in the 2011 AI breeding season and has calves on the ground here at Motere right now. Currently thought to be Upwards best son. He brings phenotype, growth, maternal backgroud, style, carcacase and performance. The calves are long and clean shoulded. We are extremly happy with them and excited. I look forward to watching their progress this year.
A son will be on offer at this years Expo in Fielding.
NEW AI "SAV IRON MOUNTAIN 8066"

IRON MOUNTAIN 8066 again has been selected for his ease of calving ability, thickness, growth and his maternal back ground. Only a few straws had been sent down under and we were lucky enough to source it. Only used in a flush in 2011 he has only 1 son up for sale this year. This son was used as a yearling back in the Motere program over some of the best females in the herd. Kept an eye out for this calf he is a cracker.

New Ai Sire S A V MUSTANG 9134 was selected for the Motere program for ease of calving and carcase qualities. His progeny are displaying these attributes as well as phenotype and style. He is a sure shot ease of calving bull with real curve bending abilities. 3 sons have been used back over the herd, all 3 are exciting new sires for the future.
